About Me
I started at a young age rewiring lamps and small electrical appliances in my parents electrical shop
As a teenager I grew up spending weekends and school holidays at my parents electrical shop. First been shown the basics of rewiring, repair and electrical safety. I eventually took on my own rewiring and repair projects helping customers give new life to their small electrical appliances. This could have been anything from Table Lamps, Light Fittings, Christmas Tree Lights, Transistor Radios, Nightlights and many more.
In the 1990's I first studied Electronic Servicing and then Electrical and Electronic Engineering before embarking on a career as a Control Systems Engineer, traveling the world installing new equipment as well as rewiring, repairing and safety testing large scale electronic / electrical factory automation control systems.
Later in life I gained an interest for Antiques and Vintage items, and occasionally came across some interesting Lamps and Light Fittings for sale at antique fairs and bought these for my own use restoring each one and bringing them to a safe and usable state to use at home.
I now repair, rewire and restore lamps and light fittings from modern, to vintage and also antique, providing services to trade, domestic and home lighting users to bring an old favourite lamp or light fitting back to life and safe to use, or for trade, ensure they are safe to use and sell.
All lamps and light fittings are electrically safety tested to the latest In-service Inspection & Testing of Electrical Equipment - The IET Code of Practice 5th Edition, Electrical Equipment Testing (EET) formally known as PAT Testing .
